Last day of testing

Work has started on the poster board and the powerpoint, we are also running our test one more time to prove our findings. We have pretty much rapped up our research on the Physics behind it (thanks to Charles)

second test results

Last Monday, the rice managed to keep up with the barkdust, but once again the insolation took the lead. We have been thinking about other reasons why they use insolation as insolation, and we have decided that the rice would probably start molding in Oregon because of the moisture in the air. The reason barkdust wouldn't be a good idea is that it is probably a lot more flamable than insolation.

We are experimenting again today, however I will be sharing the results from last Monday. Through the entire day, the insolation was the best, but it was closely followed by the barkdust. The rice was barely better than no insolation at all. Today I will try posting pictures of the ice at different times. Charles stayed home sick today, but he will be doing his research from home.

Making Progress

Today we set up our experiment. We will be checking on it towards the end of class, and again at the beginning of lunch, and will repeat checking as needed. We will soon post pictures of the experiment to keep track of our current progress.

we were not able to go through with the magnetic propulsion experiment. so we are going todso an experiment that will help us decide whether or not fiberglass is really the best insulation for a new house or not. we will have four big containers containing either sawdust, rice, fiberglass, or nothing and in the middle we shall have smaller cups that all have ice in them. this experiment will show us which type of insulation will keep the cold in best. brian is getting the fiberglass and i am getting everything else.

Day 3

We have decided what our project will look like, we have redistributer the material purchasing and will try to bring the materials next class. I will finish my research tonight and figure out exactly what we will be exploring, such as finding the velosity. I will see about getting a Watt meter to use to figure out how much energy is being generated.

Day 2

We are still looking for materials. Mrs. Payne and Brian are working on getting the wire and magnets while I am going to get the small fan motor. We plan to have the materials by the next 20% day.
